Phil Mutanho, MSc, ACIS, EA, CGA, CPA, CPA

Phil has over 20 years experience working in the private sector at senior level for manufacturing, retail, high tech, oil and gas, not-for –profit, construction, transportation and pharmaceutical companies in North America. Phil found MC Professional Accountant in 2010 after successfully creating Carolina Accounting and Tax Services LLC now changed its name to Mutanho CPA PLLC in 2003 in North Carolina which is still operational as a satellite office for US clients in the US NorthEast market.

He graduated with a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Strayer University in 2006, after becoming an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries (ICSA) in 2001 by completing the education requirements which comprised of successfully passing 16 professional subjects that include Auditing, Corporate governance, Finance, Taxation, Management accounting and Financial accounting. Phil is now a registered member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Association of Alberta (CPA).  He completed one of the most prestigious In-depth tax courses in Canada offered by Chartered Professional Accountants Canada (CPA In-depth Tax Course). He practices before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent. He is also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (US CPA) with the states of Arizona and North Carolina. His focus is cross border taxation and accounting including tax planning, compliance in both the US and Canada. He is also involved in assurance services and business advisory to help small and medium sized enterprises. Currently he runs 3 office locations in Canada (Calgary, AB (main Office), Okotoks, AB and Kelowna, BC with Tucson in Arizona and another satellite office in Durham, North Carolina, USA.
